US Silica is looking for individuals to join our Plant Operations team at the Sparta, WI plant. This is a night shift role covering the hours of 6 pm – 6 am. The qualified Employee will be trained to operate all heavy equipment (front end loader, haul truck, grader, dozer, water truck, skid steer), complete quality assurance testing, load product into rail cars, and operate the plant control boards.

  • Supports and demonstrates a safety first work place for co-workers and self
  • Moves and transports process material, rock, sand, tools, and equipment
  • Grades and maintains roads in and around the property
  • Loads production material using different pieces of heavy equipment
  • Performs pre-ops, work place inspections, PM inspections, and other safety precautions as needed
  • Fuels, and lubricates all machinery, equipment, and vehicles
  • Operates all mining equipment
  • Clean up mine and processing area and general housekeeping duties
  • Provide cross-functional support throughout the plant when needed
  • May perform minor maintenance tasks as required by management


  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Computer Skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have great written and verbal communication skills
  • Manufacturing experience, a plus
  • A valid state driver’s license
